About me......
I can't remember when I wasn't into photography! My mother was an avid "picture taker" and is evident by the many photo albums she passed on to my sisters and I. She loved documenting every aspect of our lives. I think I inherited that gene as I have truly been a photographer most of my life. I remember my first box camera with flash bulbs that I used to take my first pictures in 1960 when I was ten years of age. I sometimes look at those photos and laugh, but am amazed that even then I seemed to have good composition skills. I remember my art teacher telling me I should grow up and be a photographer. In high school, I was a member of the camera club and enjoyed taking pictures of school events. The truth is, I've spent most of my life looking at the world from behind a camera lens. In 2008 I enrolled at Daytona State College at the Southeast Center of Photographic Studies. When I began to seriously think about retirement from law enforcement, I finally decided to make my lifelong hobby a business reality.
There has never been a lack of subject material for me. I have been fortunate to be able to travel to many parts of the world and have loved photographing the people and places. I also have a very large family so I have had lots of experience in any situation you might be able to think of.
After the tragic loss of my husband of twenty-seven years in 2002, God again allowed me to find a new partner. Andy and I married in 2005, and we blended our families to the overwhelming count of ten children, twenty grandchildren, one great grandchild. I have had many special memories during my life. I promise to do my utmost to create special memories for you as well through my photographs. Thus, the name Captured Time Photography......you can never get back time lost, but with pictures, you can capture time forever. Brenda
